The exhibition title "Unknown Weegee" certainly sounds promising, since Weegee (aka Usher "Arthur" Fellig, 1899-1968) is about as unknown as Diane Arbus. Even twelve-year-old photography enthusiasts are familiar with his images of pullulating masses at Coney Island; rich, freaky old bags at the opera; and vicious crime scenes.
